Objective: 

This course will enable the student to -

  1. acquire an understanding of the various concepts, facts, terms and developments in the field of Chemistry.
  2. apply the understanding in a teaching learning process in schools.
  3. develop teaching skills for conducting theory and practical lessons.
  4. enable the students to use audio-visual aids and information technology for promoting effective teaching – learning.
  5. acquaint pupil-teachers with micro-teaching and methods of teaching.
  6. develop the skill of preparation of lesson plan and its presentation.

CO 115: Constructing proper understanding of meaning, importance, nature, values of Chemistry teaching, contribution of major chemists and correlating it with other disciplines.

CO 116: Improve presentation in classroom teaching by using different skills.

CO 117: Incorporate appropriate teaching learning material for effective classroom interaction

CO 118: Select and use an appropriate teaching method for promoting effective teaching and learning.

CO 119: Prepare students for organised and planned teaching.

CO 120: Contribute effectively in course- specific interaction.
