A REPORT ON SESSION ON “THE USE OF IISU E-LIBRARY” ORGANISED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, IIS (deemed to be UNIVERSITY), JAIPUR

A session on the use of E-library was organised for the students of B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. batch 2020 on Monday, September 6, 2021. The session was organised in order to acquaint the students with the enriched e-library of IISU. Digital libraries are indispensable for education because they offer up to date material, immediate access to a wide range of sources. Dr. Sonal Jain, Librarian IISU gave her valuable time to make the students familiar with e-library. Ms. Aruna Mathur, Ms. Pragati Sharma, Ms. Lavleena Trivedi, Ms.Tina Gupta (Faculty members) and 82 students of Department of Education attended the session. The students were made familiar with the University library by audio-visual presentation as many of them have not got much opportunities to use the library physically due to pandemic times. They were made acquainted with different sections of the library like Main hall, Reference section, Periodical section, Reading room, E-library, Seminar room, processing room/store. It was very enlightening and useful to the students, with respect to the ’new normal’. They were also made familiar with different citation format and the use of NDL (National Digital library). It helped the students to get knowledge regarding the new sources of reading and learning.
